Badlands National Park is easily one of the most beautiful places in South Dakota. You could spend an entire week exploring the 242,000+ acre park, but if you really want to experience the park in a whole new way, then grab your coffee and enjoy a night of stargazing. The Badlands Astronomy Festival is a family-friendly, free event that is great for all ages and skill levels, and there are plenty of activities during the day to keep you entertained until nightfall.
Of course, the one thing that’s out of our control is the weather, and you’ll need clear skies to get the best views. Be sure to follow Badlands National Park on Facebook to stay up to date on the Badlands Astronomy Festival, including any potential weather-related updates.
