South Dakota sure knows how to grill a good burger. Some of the best, in fact. If you’ve never been to Sugar Shack in South Dakota, an unassuming burger joint in the Black Hills, you don’t know what you’re missing. It’s one of those must-visit spots that will keep you coming back for more after you’ve had that first bite of a burger.
Sugar Shack, in Deadwood, bills itself as serving the best burgers in the Black Hills. However, you'll really want to try one (or two) of their famous burgers to judge for yourself.
Even though it's tucked in an unassuming building, Sugar Shack provides an experience that's anything but ordinary - from the huge burgers to the friendly service.
However, if you like your burger with a bit of a kick, try the chili cheeseburger or the Bubba Burger, the latter of which comes topped with jalapenos, bacon, BBQ sauce, and grilled onions.
While Sugar Shack might be known for its burgers, it also serves breakfast, which earns rave reviews. Breakfast dishes range from pancakes to biscuits and gravy.
What’s your favorite burger at the Sugar Shack in South Dakota? Let us know in the comments! For another incredible burger, head over to The Bullpen in Lake Norden, famous for its John Wayne Burger.
