Many of South Dakota’s towns are quaint and welcoming year-round, but some of them are particularly beautiful during the winter. The little town of Sturgis, South Dakota is overrun during the Motorcycle Rally, but during the winter it’s peaceful and picture-perfect. Take a look!
Though the town of Sturgis is best known for its huge summer Motorcycle Rally, during winter months the town is peaceful and quiet with just under 7,000 residents.
Winter is a great time to visit this museum with its motorcycle exhibits. It's open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The view from the top is beautiful. Remember not to disturb the cloth bundles hanging from the trees; this is a sacred place to the native people of South Dakota.
