Leah moved to North Dakota when she was 12 years old and has traveled from the Red River Valley to the badlands and many places in between. She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. She's always had a passion for writing and has participated in novel writing challenges such as NaNoWriMo multiple times. Her favorite part about this job is recognizing small businesses that deserve a boost and seeing the positive affect her articles can have on their traffic, especially in rural areas that might have otherwise gone overlooked.
Even though the Grand Canyon is one of the most visited natural tourist attractions in the country, South Dakota has a natural canyon of its own that is just as amazing, if not more. This gorgeous natural gem is known as Spearfish Canyon and could easily give its counterpart in Arizona a run for its money.
Spearfish Canyon was even used as a filming site for the 1990 movie Dances with Wolves. Tons of people visit every single year to enjoy the same sights and other activities.
This place is nothing short of jaw dropping, and it is one of many other gorgeous spots that South Dakota gets to claim as its own, like these other stunning places found in the state.
