Dear South Dakota: How art thou so wonderful? Let me count the ways. One of those “ways,”so to speak, is our restaurant scene, from national chains to local stops – no matter where you go in this state, you’re sure to find something amazing. Take, for example, the hidden gem of a restaurant located in Tea. This wonderful, little small-town BBQ restaurant in South Dakota is worth an escape from, well, no matter where you are. Check it out:
Tea is a small town, not terribly far from Sioux Falls, and it's home to Squealer's Smoke Shack - a joint that offers up some truly amazing bar fare, steaks, sandwiches, and more.
I like enjoying amazing food in peace and quiet, personally, but hey - you do you. Either way, whatever you order is going to be great.

With some of the tastiest ribs you've ever eaten and steaks to die for, Squealer's makes for an excellent first date spot, buddies' meetup spot, spot for sports, and more.
The wings are sauced and tossed perfectly and sure to arrive at your table hot, crispy, and absolutely incredible. The above photo looks good... and it doesn't even do 'em justice.
Folks also love the open floor plan with large window-walls that open onto the beautiful South Dakota countryside, letting air in when it's beautiful out.
...well, it's as "countryside" as Tea is, anyway. It's got a population of just under 6,000 people, making it a larger small town... but a small town nonetheless.
From sandwiches and chili to soups, ribs, chops, and so much more, you cannot possibly go wrong at Squealer's.
So come hungry - you'll need your appetite for this one!
For more info about this tasty hotspot, including hours, specials, a gallery, and more, be sure to visit the official Squealer’s Smoke Shack website. Curious about places to stay while in Tea?
