Located in Watertown, Lake Kampeska is one of the prettiest lakes you’ll ever see, and there’s an awesome little restaurant right on its banks.
The Prop is a quirky little restaurant where locals love to hang out. It's located on the banks of Lake Kampeska, at 728 S. Lake Dr., Watertown, SD 57201.
This spacious pub is large enough to accommodate all your friends and family, even when everyone in Watertown is congregated here after a long day of fun on the lake.
This place might have the atmosphere of a dive bar, but the decor is definitely delightful. From the vintage metal signs...
...to the marlins on the wall, The Prop definitely has a sense of humor. The service here is fabulous, too.
Sign a dollar bill and leave it on the ceiling, or staple your business card to the wall.
If you're not watching a game on one of the TVs or playing shuffleboard, enjoy a free game of pool.
The menu offers plenty of pub fare, but the star of the show is the garlic burger. Get yours with an extra side of garlic cheese.
There's a great selection of beer to go with your burger, and it's served in big, frosty mugs.
The next time you're in Watertown, head to Lake Kampeska for the day, then visit The Prop. It's open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m..
