Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O… and it’s right here in the Mount Rushmore State! South Dakota is famous for its incredible agriculture scene, but Old MacDonald’s Farm is different than most, and you are going to want to visit it with your family ASAP.
Located in Rapid City, Old MacDonald's Farm is open for the season and is every bit as magical as you can imagine.
Your eyes do not deceive you: that is, in fact, a goat bridge.
Open May through October, Old MacDonald's Farm is home to 100 farm animals and a "clean, relaxed hands-on environment" where guests can come in and pet, feed, and even ride some of the four-legged residents!
Whether you have an affinity for goats (big and small), horses, emu, donkeys, sheep, chickens, pigs, or all of the above, you will find them (and much more) at the Farm.
In addition to the farm itself, Old MacDonald's also hosts a popular Fall Festival Days, which includes everything from a pumpkin patch to a bouncy house, wagon rides, pig races, and much more.
Day rates for Old MacDonald's Farm are $14.50 for adults, $12.50 for seniors 65+, and $11.50 for children ages 2 to 12.
Please note: There is an extra fee for pony and train rides and feed machines.
