Have you ever dreamed of climbing one of the world’s tallest mountains or – at least – walking/hiking through multiple states at once? Great news, South Dakotans, as not only can you quickly walk through and around numerous states at once, but you can skip over them if you like, thanks to South Dakota’s little-known Tri-State Marker:

Situated along the South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota borders, the Tri-State Marker is one of the Mount Rushmore State's most hidden and unassuming of landmarks, leading many to drive by without a second glance.

When you do find the marker and stop to check it out, however, you realize just how unique the area is, as it allows you to (literally) be in more than one place at once.

Located at the corners of 268th Street and 488th Avenue, the Tri-State Marker is at the intersection of two country roads, making it an easy place to walk around (or hike, if you are feeling ambitious).
