Is anyone else completely sick of winter and dreaming of the warm summertime? While I used to enjoy the cold and snow, having kids completely changed that, as now we are stuck inside AND sick more often. If you are longing for an easy escape come the springtime thaw that will keep you both warm and informed, we recommend visiting this wonderous historic South Dakota home:
Welcome to the Historic Adams House & Museum, an original 1892 Victorian that has been restored to the grandeur of its heyday.
Located in Deadwood, the home was built by a few of the town's original pioneers, and was later purchased by Mayor W.E. Adams, who bought the house as a gift to the community.
Considered to be the oldest museum in the Black Hills, the Historic Adams House still boasts many of its original features, including the intricate entryway...
In addition to the stunning parts that came with the home, the Historic Adams House also displays a number of rare artifacts ranging from Potato Creek Johnny's gold nugget to the JB Haggin train.
