Everyone knows that South Dakota is the best place in the country to get a top-quality steak, and we certainly have plenty of steakhouses to choose from. Here’s a rustic steakhouse in Rapid City that will satisfy your inner carnivore.
Dakotah Steakhouse opened in 2010, with a commitment to the Black Hills community. It's been serving high-quality steaks in a beautiful, rustic setting ever since. You'll find the restaurant at 1325 N. Elk Vale Road in Rapid City.
You'll love the cozy dining room at this steakhouse. With its soaring ceiling, huge stone fireplace and gleaming hardwood floors, the atmosphere is rustic, but upscale.
If you love chislic, you've come to the right place. The Dakotah Territory Chislic appetizer is a delicious work of art. The skewers of chislic are served with a cilantro-lime sour cream dip.
The steaks at Dakotah Steakhouse are corn-fed Black Angus beef that's aged right in the restaurant for 35 days. They're prepared in a specially-designed, high-temp infrared broiler that cooks them to perfection.
Try the Coulotte Steak. It's cut from the cap of the aged Angus sirloin, then topped with onions and mushrooms and accompanied by a side of bacon-wrapped asparagus.
You definitely need to save room for the apple crisp. Made with granny smith apples, and topped with bourbon whipped cream, this delicious dessert comes with plenty of caramel sauce.
