When you’re craving an ooey, gooey pizza, there’s no reason to visit a national chain. Check out this little mom-and-pop pizzeria that serves up delicious pies with friendly service.
Charlie's Pizza House opened way back in 1959, so they've had plenty of time to perfect their pizzas. Locals know that when you're craving a delicious pie, Charlie's is the place to go. It's located at 804 Summit St., Yankton, SD 57078.
The pizza here is unique - the thin crust has a layer of garlic butter spread over it before the sauce, cheese, and toppings are added. It makes the pie taste even better.
All the pizzas on the menu are named for 1950s and 1960s actors and actresses. Try the Hawaiian Elvis, the Clint Eastwood, the Marilyn's Mermaid Heaven, or the Bette Davis.
If you grew up in Yankton, you might remember hanging out here, listening to the jukebox and playing video games. The game room is still a popular draw for kids and adults alike.
Stop by Charlie's PIzza House seven nights a week. It's open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday through Sunday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m..
