Remember how we — well, some of us — used to save our allowance when we were growing up? Sometimes it took what seemed like forever to scrape up enough money to buy the hottest new album or our favorite band’s latest record. Then, as soon as that money touched our hands, we’d go straight to the record store where, even though we knew what we wanted, we’d flip through the rows and rows of records. Today, record stores are largely a thing of the past. But, a few — like this record store in South Dakota — still remain.
Step through the doors of Black Hills Vinyl, in Rapid City, and feel like you've journeyed back in time.
Don't forget to bring the kids along. Black Hills Vinyl, with inventory that's always growing, has featured such favorites as The Smurfs and Dr. Seuss.
Don't have anything to play all those albums, that caught your eye, on? Well, Black Hills Vinyl's got you covered with its selection of turntables and stereos.
Then, if you want to read the album sleeves or just reminisce about days gone by, sink into one of the cozy chairs, at the front of the store, drenched in sunlight.
Pick up your favorite vinyl albums at Black Hills Vinyl, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
