Fall is in the air, everywhere we look around. Okay, so maybe that is wishful thinking (it’s still so, so hot outside), but the season of pumpkin spice and everything nice is upon us, which means that festivals are not far behind. If you are ready to fill your calendar with all things fall fun, you won’t want to miss South Dakota’s very own Great Pumpkin Festival:
Taking place Saturday, September 25th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the 13th Annual Great Pumpkin Festival is a thing of childhood - and fall-loving adult - dreams... and wait until you see why!
Located on Main Street Square in Rapid City, the Great Pumpkin Festival is just that: a day full of all-things-pumpkin fun, beginning with pumpkin weighing, pumpkin slingshot, pumpkin carving and painting, and more.
Are you visiting with kids? There is lots to do with the littles, too, including a designated kids zone, pony and train rides, and tons of food vendors sure to satisfy their picky palates.
