And there's no better evidence of the change than at the recently opened Wiki Wiki Sandbar — a tiki-themed restaurant with a Hawaiian vibe.
The eatery nearly spans a full city block and doles out five different dining spaces, each with its own signature. We love the giant floating octopus that hangs high above the Octopus Bar and you will too!

Upstairs, you'll find a real tiki bar, complete with a thatch roof and an open-air deck for some of the best ocean views available high above it all on the island.

And on the menu, American fare is blended with Polynesian goodness in items that will make you return the next day for another taste of the same. The Kalua Pork Street Tacos are a fine example.
