You don’t need to live anywhere near Mount Pleasant’s Vicious Biscuit to become a regular at this trendy new breakfast and brunch spot on Coleman Boulevard. Locals and visitors alike who’ve stumbled into the newest breakfast spot in town return again and again to get at the delightfully delicious creations that wind up on their plate.
Family-owned and operated, Vicious Biscuit appeared on the scene in late 2018 and has been changing the way people think about breakfast. From their outrageous (and huge) creations like the Sea Biscuit (fried shrimp, yum-yum slaw, and thai chili sauce) to their down-home service and casual atmosphere, the eatery has the perfect combination for a pleasant (and flavorful) experience.
Located right in the heart of Mt. Pleasant's restaurant row, Vicious Biscuit is front and center to serve as a jumping off point for the rest of the day's activities. Close to the beach, in the middle of shopping, and countless other attractions (think USS Yorktown), the locale is poised for starting and then spending the morning or day east of the Cooper.
The menu is loaded with crafty creations - and even a biscuit that has jalapeno and cheddar IN the biscuit. They call this one the 'Flame Thrower.' Add a fried chicken breast, spicy remoulade, thick-cut bacon, and a special house sauce, and the Flame Thrower is a one-of-a-kind for a hearty appetite.
Prefer something a little more traditional? You may not find it here... But the Crab Benny (featuring lump crab meat) and the Ranchero (a Mexican-inspired biscuit) both feature a sunny-side egg dropped right on top of your biscuit.
You'd expect a brunch spot to have Bloody Marys, but Vicious Biscuit goes beyond the Mary. If you have a hankerin' for something a little stronger than coffee or a Bloody Mary, the menu includes wake-up concoctions that include vodka, champagne, and even Kentucky bourbon.
Most people who've been to Vicious Biscuit will tell you there's always a line out the door — and then they'll say, "but it moves fast!" So prepare to make some quick, fast friends on the short wait and then decide if you want to sit inside or out to devour every last crumb of your vicious biscuit.
