Day trips that involve food destinations are irresistibly delicious – and so is this diner in South Carolina that’s nestled right in the heart of horse country. If it has been a while since you ventured over to the state’s western side and the small town of Aiken, then perhaps now is a good time to rev up the engine and hit the road for a foodie adventure!
Betsy's Round the Corner is located at 224 Park Avenue in the heart of downtown Aiken.
Even the appetizers, like their signature avacado toast seen here, are enormous, creative, and almost too beautiful to eat without first snapping a photo.
If Betsy's sounds familiar to you but you remember it as being on the corner, then just know your memory is not failing. Betsy's did use to be in a much smaller space on a corner in Aiken, but moved in 2019 to accommodate more folks in their present location on Park Avenue.
Now, for horse fans, since Aiken is in the heart of horse country, we recommend a stop at Aiken's Thoroughbread Racing Hall of Fame and Museum at 135 Dupree Place. Admission is free and hours of operation can be found at the link just provided.
Not a horse racing fan? That’s okay. There are lots of reasons to visit Aiken, the one town in South Carolina that’s perfectly Southern!
Ever been to this diner in South Carolina? Betsy’s Round the Corner has special summer hours that make it easier to find a time to check it out and it’s also open year-round.
