Dining out in South Carolina is always an adventure. From remote, out-of-the-way hidden treasures to eateries plopped right on the path of some of the most traveled cities in the state, there are some restaurants where you just can’t go wrong when you dine out. One of them, The Lucky Rooster Kitchen + Bar in Hilton Head Island, opened in 2013 and recently changed owners. Yet the establishment still retains that wonderful upscale – but casual – feel.
You'll find The Lucky Rooster in the South Island Square shopping center right on Business 278 in Hilton Head.
Step inside to discover a warm and inviting space with rich and warm tones, and soft lighting. It's the kind of spot that'll make you feel right at home immediately.
Of course it features wonderful seafood choices, because this IS the Lowcountry. But you'll also find everything from burgers and a cheesesteak to a 14-ounce grass-fed ribeye, seared yellowfin tuna, a pork porterhouse, and a perfectly prepared lamb shank.
The Lucky Rooster also takes cocktails seriously. The menu features some specialties — tempting house creations like the Lucky Mary, The Preacher, The Fertility Drug, and the Mai Tai is Better Than Yours, to name only a few. And the bar also serves many local craft brews.
