One of the things 2020 taught us is just how special it is to dine out – as, in public. But eating at a restaurant doesn’t always mean dining indoors. If you travel to York, South Carolina, you can dine in a beautiful, natural garden setting at The Garden Cafe, a rustic, country-style cafe with just the right amount of flare in both the food and the atmosphere.
Welcome to The Garden Cafe, opened in the fall of 1995 and now located at 307 West Liberty Street in historic downtown York.
The menu here features a variety of American fare. Start off with an appetizer and soup and then have a salad before your entree arrives. For lunch, the cafe offers nine different sandwiches, like Roast Beef, and a Fried Green BLT, to name a couple. Or, order a burger or a mac and cheese skillet any time of day.
For dinner, chow down on a number of house entrees, or order up a piping hot quesadilla or a pizza. The user-friendly menu really does have something to suit every whim.
The Garden Cafe also has its own shop. You'll walk through it on your way to the cafe so carve out enough time to check out the merchandise on your way out!
The current hours for the cafe are Wednesday through Saturday for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday for dinner from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
