South Carolina’s newest state park entity is a gorgeous barrier island located just to the south of Hunting Island State Park. (You may recall in late 2017 when South Carolina negotiated with Ted Turner to purchase his private island.) While still in the planning stages regarding widespread public access and the overall designated uses for the park, several upcoming dates to take a small, ranger-led tour of the newest state park in the Palmetto State have been released and, although a bit pricey, this tour is one you may not be able to pass up.

This ranger-led tour, the lunch, the ferry and tram rides are all bundled into one price of $125 per ticket. Six dates were released last week and the first three are sold out. The remaining open dates, as of today, are May 18, June 14, and June 15, 2019. Please note, stroller and wheelchair access is difficult due to ramps, changing tides, sand and uneven terrain.
