It’s located within Caesars Head State Park in South Carolina, which was established in 1979. It had been a health resort operated by the first physician in Pickens County, Dr. Francis Miles, and his family. It changed ownership a few times before finally being acquired by the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, and there are several stories about how the resort got its name!
