The South Carolina State Park system includes 47 beautiful state parks, and there’s a new way to enjoy two of them, Table Rock State Park in the upstate and Edisto Beach State Park in the lowcountry. Both offer plenty of scenery and recreational activities, including hiking, fishing, birding, and more. And now you can also enjoy glamping in South Carolina at each of these wonderful parks.
Table Rock State Park, located in the small town of Pickens, offers 94 standard campsites with electricity and water as well as some primitive campsites. There are also RV sites, and recently, six furnished canvas tent sites have been added.
Each "glamping" tent is positioned on an elevated platform and comes with a double bed with a memory foam mattress, Adirondack chairs, a camp table, a fire pit, a water carrier, a fire extinguisher, and a trash can.

For the beach bums, Edisto Beach State Park is the other glamping destination now offering furnished canvas tent sites. There are five of them found near the Environmental Learning Center.
There is no general information yet about these sites on the Edisto Beach State Park webpage, but they are shown in the reservations area. The South Carolina State Parks Facebook page offers some details as well.
Enjoy 1.5 miles of beach at this beautiful state park, laden with seashells! Edisto Beach may just be the most underrated South Carolina beach. It's beautiful and there are plenty of fun things to do, including picnicking at one of the oceanfront shelters, hiking with several trails to choose from, an environmental learning center with interactive exhibits and sea life, and all of the usual beach recreational activities.
