If you love waterfall adventures, then the Fall Creek Falls Trail near Mountain Rest, South Carolina, belongs on your bucket list. From this single, 2.7-mile trail that winds through the forest, you’ll pass six breathtaking waterfalls. Get ready to lace up those hiking boots and scurry off to the woods for some fun!
First and foremost, our friends at AllTrails rate this hike as moderate.
The rating is mainly because, in places, the trail can get fairly steep. The overall elevation change along the hike is 223 feet, which isn't bad, though.
Please watch your footing and be on the lookout for roots, rocks, and slippery terrain.
At 50 feet high, this waterfall is also very wide, at approximately 70 feet in width. Stare all you want but don't forget there are still two more waterfalls on this adventure!
Still ahead are Side Pocket Falls and Final Falls, which spills into the Chattooga RIver.
This trail is best enjoyed from March through December, but it's open year-round and always open for dogs, as long as they are leashed.
With the new season, are you up for chasing (more than a) few waterfalls? You should be able to finish this hike in under four hours. Learn more about the trail and see more photos at this link on AllTrails.
