Take The S.C. Railroad Museum Scenic Ride With A BBQ Dinner

The S.C. Railroad Museum is a state treasure that many have yet to discover, fulfilling dreams for people of all ages. The BBQ Dinner Train with the S.C. Railroad Museum runs on select Saturdays from April through October.

Ride in the open-air car for the best view and if you'd like to feel some of the breeze during the ride!

While riding in this dinner train in South Carolina, you're sure to see plenty of the beautiful countryside.

If you catch the sunflowers in bloom, about one-third of a mile of your ride will include these bright, cheery fields.

Afterward, you'll enjoy a tasty BBQ buffet prepared by Little Pigs of Columbia, one of the best barbecue joints in the state, which will include three styles of BBQ, rolls, macaroni and cheese, green beans, cole slaw, and banana pudding. You can choose from tea, lemonade, or water to drink.

The museum also offers other events, including fun seasonal activities.

In addition, there are walk-through stationary cars, historic pictures and artifacts, and a gift shop at the museum.

On occasion, there are opportunities to ride a steam train. Keep an eye on the event schedule for upcoming dates.

The museum is operated by volunteers who give their time and abilities to help ensure this amazing history lives on.
