These 15 Breathtaking Views In South Carolina Could Be Straight Out Of The Movies

South Carolina has provided perfect locations for blockbuster movies like The Notebook, Forrest Gump, Ace Ventura When Nature Calls, and many others. According to the South Carolina Film Commission , the Palmetto State has provided filming locations for more than 100 feature films and another 70+ television movies, series and pilots.
Here are some picture-perfect views and locations in South Carolina that could be straight out of the movies.
1. Edisto Beach can provide a great backdrop for a number of storylines.
2. Family Kingdom Amusement Park in Myrtle Beach is a great place for a movie scene.
3. The Dock Street Theater in Charleston has been featured in many films. It's easy to see why.
4. Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet is gorgeous! This almost looks like a painting it's so perfect.
5. This spot alongside the spring-fed Furman Lake is breathtaking.
6. ...and so is the bell tower at Furman in this photo taken in the winter. It looks beautiful and cold.
7. This dramatic sky makes the Cherry Grove Pier an interesting setting for a movie scene.
8. ...or they could shoot UNDER the Cherry Grove Pier. It's beautiful and suspenseful at the same time.
9. We're surprised we don't already see the Angel Oak on Johns Island in tons of movies.
10. This peach farm in South Carolina is straight out of the movies.
11. This is South Carolina Hwy 11 in the Upstate. We might as well just include all 160+ miles of SC 11 because it's all this gorgeous.
12. Sunrise or Sunset? It really could be either one depending on the location.
13. Rainbow Falls at Jones Gap State Park is a super location for a scene where the main character needs to cool off.
14. Someone needs to find this exact location in Newberry and shoot a movie scene. But quickly, before the leaves grow back on the trees.
15. The Columbia skyline here from Finlay Park is beautiful.
