Step inside to find a wealth of possibilites: from ribs to chicken and pulled pork — and more, Rodney Scott's makes it difficult to decide and oh-so easy to devour.

The self-serve counter is staffed with friendly faces. Once you order, just head to a table and they'll bring it out to you.

For days when the weather and temperature are as beautiful as the food, there is plenty of outdoor seating too.

One thing for certain is, if Rodney Scott is in the house, you'll know it. He has a quiet demeanor but a big presence, nonetheless. It must be hard to be a celeb, but Scott's humble nature is endearing and people are naturally drawn to him.

And he somehow... always seems to be smiling. But you would be too... if you just won the nation's most coveted award for chefs. An award that seems to rarely find its way to an African American and has only been awarded to a pitmaster on one previous occasion.

But he did it! In May, 2018, Rodney Scott was awarded the James Beard Chef Southeast award in this, the first time he was nominated.
