Anyone who has spent the summer in South Carolina knows that it's a season that can get unbelievably hot. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to beat the heat. One of our favorites is taking a trip to a swimming hole. Sure, there are plenty of fun swimming pools to visit throughout the state, but there's something downright enchanting about visiting a natural swimming hole. And, you're in luck, because we've scouted out some of the very best natural swimming holes in South Carolina. At the top of our list is Wildcat Creek Falls. Located inside the namesake Wildcat Wayside State Park, this waterfall pours into a beautiful swimming hole and even features a 130-foot sliding rock. Next up would be Carrick Creek Falls.
Another enchanting waterfall swimming hole in South Carolina, this beautiful spot is found within Table Rock State Park. (Table Rock State Park is in itself an incredible day trip destination!) Another great option for cooling off during those hot months is Reedy Cove Creek. It can be found in Greenville County, just a quick drive from Table Rock State Park. This deep, lovely swimming hole is the perfect place to splash around.
