If you're looking for an area that definitely has that laid-back feel than Bluffton would be the ideal place to raise the family. It's just on the edge of big cities so that you can go visit them any time you feel like it and really close to the wild outdoors that children love so much.
Port Royal is all about community. They have street dances and music, festivals (such as the Soft Shell Crab Festival), as well as a community oyster roast in October. There's nothing better than raising a family in a place that believes in family values!

Greenville is an all around great place to raise a family. They have revitalized their downtown to not only be of use to others, but it's now a great place to bring the family on afternoons when the weather is absolutely perfect. They have their own waterfall! What more could you ask of a place?
Easley is an amazingly friendly place which makes it an equally amazing place to raise your little ones. Children emulate what they see and if they see kindness...they learn kindness.
