I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
There are certain places that just naturally cause the imagination to wander. Poinsett Bridge is South Carolina is one such place. The oldest bridge in South Carolina, Poinsett Bridge is a 14-foot stone structure that spans 130 feet over Little Gap Creek. It’s located smack in the center of the eponymous Poinsett Bridge Heritage Preserve, and while beautiful, it’s not a place you want to be after dark. Known as a hub for unexplainable paranormal activity, it’s one of the most haunted bridges in South Carolina — if not, the most haunted bridge in the Palmetto State.
Do you agree that Poinsett Bridge is one of the most haunted bridges in South Carolina? Would you be audacious enough to visit after dark? If so, you’re definitely braver than we are!
