It’s no secret that we love to brag on the Palmetto State. South Carolina definitely has a lot going for it, yet, in all of its glory it’s also got its share of quirks. And there are some things that only South Carolinians understand. Let’s touch on a few, just for fun.
1. We sure are proud of being the birthplace of sweet tea, Summerville, South Carolina, so much so that we hold the record also for having the World's Largest Sweet Tea.
2. And that pride doesn't stop with the sweet tea. We're also the birthplace of BBQ and mustard-based sauce. If you haven't tried it yet, we'd recommend Bessinger's! You might even run into a celebrity while there.
3. No explanation is needed for this one. But here are some of the best places to have shrimp and grits if you're looking!
