1. Walhalla Oktoberfest - October 20-22, 2017
Every year since 1979 on the third Friday through Sunday in October this small Upstate town gathers to celebrate their German heritage. Join them for authentic food, music, dancing, arts and crafts and carnival rides. Walhalla Oktoberfest is located at Sertoma Field, 272 Tulip Dr., Walhalla SC 29691.
2. Soda City Market Oktoberfest - September 30, 2017
Columbia's downtown Saturday street market is doubling up the pleasure for this year's Oktoberfest with two biergartens. Eat, shop and drink from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Buy a token, get a drink. The annual event is located at 1400 & 1500 block of Main Street in Columbia.
3. Newberry Oktoberfest - October 7, 2017
You won't want to miss this Oktoberfest celebration that includes a best-dressed German outfit contest, plus authentic German food, more than 40 arts and crafts vendors and all the beer you want from the biergarten. Don't forget to check out the Polka music on the main stage or the classic car show! The annual event is so big that it spills out of the city square for blocks and blocks of Octoberfest fun. Newberry Oktoberfest is located in downtown historic Newberry, SC.
4. Downtown Florence Oktoberfest - October 14, 2017
Celebrate German heritage at this day full of fun activities in Florence including beer stein races, beer barrel races, and a ceremonial keg tapping to kick everything off! Devour a variety of authentic German food while you drink the beer and fine German wines. Oh and don't forget the Weenie and Almost a Weenie Dog Races. Downtown Florence Oktoberfest is located at 100 Block of S. Dargan St, Florence.
5. Spartoberfest - September 14-16, 2017
Spartanburg's own version of Oktoberfest, Spartoberfest features a 10K run, and family-friendly fun including live music, a Christmas market as well as the regionally famous Oompah band on Friday and Saturday nights. The event takes place at Jesus, Our Risen Savior Catholic Church at 2575 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301.
6. Aiken Oktoberfest - September 30, 2017
This night time fest from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. features both German and craft beers, live music from the Foothills Oompah Band, and college football outside on a big screen. Head to the corner of Hayne and Pendleton in Aiken for this Bavarian throwdown.
7. Octoberfest at The Market Common, Myrtle Beach - October 13, 2017
Celebrate Oktoberfest with authentic German beer and food, plus they’ll also have live entertainment featuring dance and music, face painting, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, inflatables, and vendors. This family-friendly event is free. Oktoberfest at The Market Common is located at 4017 Deville St., Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
8. Sumter on Main Oktoberfest - September 30, 2017
Sumter transforms into the look and feel of a German town for this annual event. Savor the tastes of German fare and beer and wine along with music. Dance to the sounds of German polkas, marches and waltzes to work off some of the calories from the Bratwurst, Knockwurst, Smoked Brats and Schnitzel Sandwiches you won't be able to refuse. 9. Oktoberfest Uptown Greenwood - October 19, 2017
This Thursday night even in Greenwood celebrates Oktoberfest in the very best way possible: with German food and beer! Join in the fun on Maxwell Avenue in Greenwood.
