South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. When not writing about the state, she may be spending time with family, relaxing by the pool, or out somewhere enjoying nature.
Much like Hallmark Christmas movies, Norman Rockwell’s sentimental paintings captured the hearts of Americans in a way that perhaps no other artist has before or since. His style was referred to as “Rockwellesque,” characterized by his idealistic, quaint, or sentimental portrayals of American life. Bluffton describes itself as “a Town that appreciates the past, focuses on today, and is planning together for a greater future.” Old Town Bluffton Inn with the United States and South Carolina flags and palms lit up for Christmas certainly reflects this sentiment.
Children sing carols for everyone to enjoy. It’s always nice to hear those familiar tunes again each year, especially with sweet young voices singing them.
