South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. When not writing about the state, she may be spending time with family, relaxing by the pool, or out somewhere enjoying nature.
The character in the architecture of many older structures is unquestionably captivating. It’s always a shame to see them abandoned and no longer serving a useful purpose or taken down and replaced. Those of you who feel the same will especially appreciate what we found in the charming upstate area. It’s one of the most unique attractions in South Carolina that’s also a delicious day trip destination you must visit and experience for yourself.
The Silos opened in the fall of 2021 at what used to be the site of the Dixie Milling Company in Easley on Folger Avenue. The building was built in 1951 and is now owned by Stacey Desrosiers, owner of Inky’s Authentic Philadelphia Cheesesteaks and Hoagies, and her husband David Desrosiers.
Grab some coffee or Boba tea from Ninja Warrior Coffee House next, the perfect compliment to your donut. Take a stroll around the property and check out the other restaurants, because you're definitely going to want to eat lunch here, too.
If you'd like some beer with your pizza, stop at Silos Brewing, a new craft brewery run by a chemist and beer-expert who graduated with a Ph.D. from none other than Clemson!
Or perhaps you'd prefer some tasty Indian cuisine offered by Indigo Kitchen? There's always dinnertime coming up... if you're spending the day here you could certainly try. it. all!
Choose from a freshly made waffle cone, cup, sundae, float, or milkshake.
The Silos also has a grainyard space that can be reserved for group celebrations, birthdays, family celebrations, or just about anything requiring a special place to gather. All seating is outdoors and all proceeds from VIP Reservations are donated to a charity of the month the property is supporting.
Not only is The Silos charitable, the intent of the owners for the property is for it to remain affordable for the average person and family. They have made every effort to ensure this result.
