Chasing waterfalls in South Carolina is so much more fun in the summertime when you can peel off your clothes down to your swimsuit when you get to the waterfall and actually swim at the base of the falls. While there are scores of waterfalls with perfectly swimmable pools at the base in the Palmetto State, few are as fun – or easily accessible – as the waterfall and swimming hole found at Long Shoals Roadside Park near Pickens.

From the parking area, it's approximately 0.2-mile on a sloping trail down to the Little Eastatoe Creek where you'll find a swimming hole complete with its own natural waterslide!
