Lake Conestee Nature Park is located six miles south of Greenville near Mauldin.

Opened in 2006, the park boasts six miles of paved trails, six miles of natural surface trails and one mile of boardwalk.
The park's southeastern quadrant is home to the small body of water known as Lake Conestee. The parks miles and miles of other trails delve farther into the nature preserve.

The beloved Swamp Rabbit Trail (shown in heavy black on the above trail map) traverses Lake Conestee Nature Park, including the Lake Conestee Dam, formed in the 1800s for the former mills that operated upriver.
The park itself encompasses both hardwood and evergreen forests. The various trails and boardwalks give visitors a chance to walk among the lush, green growth.

The wetlands in this unique park are plentiful as well. Various observation decks overlooking bogs and with educational kiosks give hikers and walkers a sense of the kinds of wildlife found in abundance within the park.

Lake Conestee Nature Park is located at 601 Fork Shoals Rd., Greenville, SC 29605. It’s open daily from dawn to dusk. Other entrances are located at 840 Mauldin Road., 701 Fork Shoals Road., 1 Spanco Drive. Hiking, biking, jogging and wildlife observation are permitted. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
