Day 2: Shopping, Spa Treatments, & More Great Dining

Look for the “Certified Authentic: Handmade in Charleston” tile, which signifies that the item is 100% fabricated in the Charleston area.
You may want to purchase an infamous sweetgrass basket, one of the most prized cultural souvenirs in the country. You'll most likely even get to see one being woven right there on site by an artisan, a Gullah tradition that has been passed down through the generations within families. It's so neat to see how many different styles there are and to own a unique piece of art with such historical significance.

Don't miss the Hyman's General Store next door after you finish your meal for one last shopping experience. You can take home with you some of the sauces or spices used in Hyman's dishes, the Holy City salt scrub you may have used in the restroom at Hyman's, and many other neat items.
And now, it's time for some relaxing spa treatments! For this, you'll head back to Hotel Bennett, which has a spa offering facials, nail services, massages, and body treatments. You can enjoy dinner at Camellias again or any of the other amazing restaurants in Charleston. We'd recommend Peninsula Grill on North Market Street, which serves elevated Southern fare and a cake known as the "best dessert cake in the South".
