1. Angel Oak tree
South Carolina's Angel Oak is a must-see for anyone visiting the Lowcountry. It's a beautiful drive from Charleston out to Johns Island to see this more than 350-year-old natural wonder, and truly worth the trip to see the sprawling limbs. You can even walk right up to it and feel the history.

2. Caesars Head State Park's main overlook.
From here, you'll marvel at unobstructed views of the Blue Ridge Escarpment and the gorgeous foothills. In the distance, Table Rock looms majestically over the landscape. 3. Bald Rock Heritage Preserve
Located on the road leading to Caesars Head State Park, and definitely worthy of a visit, this huge granite overlook is impressive in size. The views are breathtaking! Bring a picnic and relax.

4. Lee Falls
Hike this moderate trail to a lush, green waterfall with a living garden on its steep, moss-covered wall. Lee Falls is an impressive seven stories high and feels like its plucked from a rain forest in South America.

5. Botany Bay Heritage Preserve
Head to the most remote beach in the Palmetto State that is also accessible on foot. The driftwood beach at Botany Bay is an untouched natural wonder. After, explore the historic Botany Bay Heritage Preserve plantation.

6. Anderson Beach
