South Carolina’s iconic Palmetto Trail travels a distance of 500 miles all the way across the Palmetto State. To make it easier to gain entry or to break up the hike into smaller segments, the trail is broken down into passages. One of those passages, the Lake Moultrie Passage, travels 26.8 miles (one way!) all the way around nearly a full side of Lake Moultrie.
