What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by visiting a giant Victorian Marketplace where the vendors are all dressed in period costume, the items in their booths are Christmas related, and there are some wonderful Victorian Christmas traditions to view!? If this sounds as perfect to you as it does to us, then you’ll need to clear your schedule, because it’s happening this weekend…
South Carolinians know there's no better time to head to Myrtle Beach than in the off season and that's precisely where you'll find the Dickens Christmas Show. It's happening at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center through Sunday, November 11, 2018.
For four merry days and nights the Convention Center has transformed into a Dickens Victorian wonderland filled with vendors, festivals, food, entertainment, and more!
What makes this festival a "Victorian" affair? For starters, all of the vendors dress in attire of the period. Seeing all of their fun costumes (and how much they love them too) is half the fun of browsing through all of the booths.
You'll meet some very interesting people who actually come back year after year to this special holiday show. This is the 37th Annual Dickens Christmas Show.
You'll get to shop 'til you drop from more than 100 vendor booths selling everything under the sun that's holiday related. Local arts and crafts vendors will be there, too!
More than 100,000 square feet will be filled with this Victorian Christmas event, including a few festivals that are in keeping with Victorian-era celebrations...
