The last place we’d expect to find a massive butterfly house is in the middle of a swamp but have you been to Cypress Gardens lately? Butterflies are aplenty in this South Carolina swamp garden where, if you’re lucky, you’ll devote the entire day to exploring everything this unique preserve has to offer – including its epic 2,500-square-foot butterfly house. After major storms in 2015 forced this Lowcountry treasure to close for 3.5 years, it reopened in April 2019 and it is as stunning as ever.
Admission into this butterfly house in South Carolina is included in your general admission ticket into Cypress Gardens. The house and gardens are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (the last admission is at 4 p.m.). Ticket are $10/adults, $5 ages 6-17, $6.50 for seniors 65+, first responders, and military. Learn more, and see holiday closure dates, on the official website.
