Good food in South Carolina is never far away. That is one of the benefits of living in such a touristy state: great restaurants are everywhere and the exceptional ones withstand the test of time. That being said, this fun eatery is located steps from the ocean and, from the food to the atmosphere, is as unique as it gets.
Coconut Joe's Beach Grill is located on the Isle of Palms and doles out breathtaking views of the ocean and the beach.
The two-story family-friendly establishment opened in 1997 along the lone beachfront business strip on the Isle of Palms, a barrier island located just north of Charleston. The island has changed quite a bit since 1997, but Coconut Joe's is still the go-to spot for a lively family meal with unbeatable views.
Downstairs (on the second floor of the building), you'll find outrageous views from every seat, both inside and outside. The colorful island decor is fun and spirited.
Upstairs is a family-friendly deck that has a bar and often hosts live music. (View the live music calendar
here to see times and talent.) After your meal, you can pop up there to relax and enjoy the swift ocean breezes, live music (when scheduled), and a cold beverage while you wait for the sun to set.
Coconut Joe's may be a come-as-you-are casual kind of place, but that doesn't mean the food is anything short of fantastic.
From fresh seafood made to your liking to burgers, BBQ, chicken and salads, Joe's is sure to have something to answer your craving of the day. Try their signature Coconut Fried Shrimp... yum!
Joe's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and each meal comes with a free side of breathtaking ocean views.
