Why buy a Christmas tree from a big box store when you can cut your own and create a new family tradition right here at home in South Carolina? You may be surprised to learn the Palmetto State has a number of Christmas tree farms scattered all over the state and we can’t think of a better way to cultivate some holiday cheer than by heading to a farm and choosing/cutting your own Christmas tree.
Lebanon Christmas Tree Farm is located less than a mile from Interstate 26 in Ridgeville and has a lot more than just Christmas trees to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
Bring your own saw (or use one of theirs) and then head over to choose the perfect tree to adorn your home this season. If you're not comfortable doing the cutting part... they'll cut it for you. Unlike those big box stores, this family tree farm has a wide variety of tree types to select from: Leyland Cypress, Carolina Sapphire, Spruce Pine, and Virginia Pine.
On the weekends, the farm has fun activities lined up for everyone. Families and older kids will enjoy the scavenger hunt, while the little ones will enjoy spending time in Santa's Workshop.
Whatever your plans are for the holidays, check out choosing and cutting your own tree this year. It not only supports a local South Carolina grower and their family, but also fosters an opportunity for new traditions for you and yours.
