Chocolate is one of life’s simple pleasures. Over 6.5 billion pounds of chocolate are consumed each year in the United States, and as staggering as that number is, Switzerland is actually the country where the largest amount of chocolate is eaten. In 2022, over 8 million tons of chocolate was consumed around the world. Clearly, we as the human race adore chocolate. Interestingly enough, there are up to 10% of the population who don’t like how chocolate tastes, citing it as too sweet or too bitter. For all of you in the other 90-or-so percent, you will jump for joy to learn that there’s a chocolate festival in Florence, S.C. where you can have a good excuse to indulge!

This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2024.

Visit the Chocolate Crawl page on the Florence Downtown website for more details, and dates for this year’s event, and to purchase your tickets! Also, it doesn’t go along with the chocolate theme, but this cute Pineapple House in Florence would be a great place to stay overnight after the event.
