Prepare for one of the most adorable animal encounters you’ve ever had when you book a hands-on tour at South Carolina’s newest animal adventure, Charleston Anteater Sloth and Exotics. During your tour, you’ll hand feed a sloth, walk an anteater, feed a giant tortoise, and more. What could be more fun for the entire family than spending more than an hour with these exotic (and friendly!) exotic creatures?
Where else are you going to get the chance to pet or feed a sloth? A sloth!
The small collection of exotic creatures lives on a farm owned by a couple who invite only a small group of people at a time to meet and greet their four-legged family.
And, although you can certainly see a giant tortoise at just about any zoo, at Charleston Anteater Sloth and Exotics, you'll have the opportunity to interact with one.
The owners of this adventure and its four-legged rock stars are avid animal conservationists and take part in a number of animal welfare groups. For that reason, only small numbers of visitors are allowed each day or at one time.
The walking tour entails learning a great deal about each animal species, feeding a sloth, walking an anteater, petting an 85-pound tortoise, and playing with bunnies.
Reservations must be made in advance and online. Tickets are $50. Tours last approximately 90 minutes. Learn more about Charleston Anteaters Sloth and Exotics by visiting the official website. And give them a follow on Facebook.
