Looking for a great day trip destination? Look no further than the funky little town of Bluffton. It’s got just about everything you could ever want, from historic homes to quaint local businesses, to a beautiful river that’s perfect for recreation.
Bluffton was settled in 1728, and it's got a rich history that goes back to before South Carolina's statehood. Today, visitors enjoy this funky little town, with its historic plantations, art galleries, local shops, and beautiful river.
The Heyward House is the official Welcome Center for the town, so you'll want to start your visit there. Tour the museum, and get information about the history and attractions here. Visit the Heyward House at 70 Boundary Street.
You'll definitely want to save some time for a stop at Southern Barrel Brewing Co.. Get a flight to taste several of their delicious craft and small-batch beers. Find it at 375 Buckwalter Place Blvd..
Take a 1.5 hour tour of the May River with May River Excursions. You'll catch fish and crabs, say hello to dolphins, and learn all about this gorgeous river.
