South Carolina has been home for AnneMarie since 2001. Her favorite part of the state is Lake Jocassee. An App State alumna, it's always the mountains; the lake bonus makes it heavenly. If your favorite superhero is The Hulk or if your superpower is biking, we’ve got just the spot for you! Horry County has a bike and run park named after The Hulk, and it’s quite the adventure for those who love a good challenge. This bike trail in Myrtle Beach, SC has become popular with mountain bikers, but you don’t have to be a biker to enjoy this park. Here’s what you need to know before tackling The Hulk …
The Hulk bike trail, also known as Horry County Bike & Run Park, is located on Frontage Road in Myrtle Beach, and now you understand as you see the trail map below why it's been named, "The Hulk." It's a mostly singletrack seven-mile trail covering 72 acres of land, with a couple of straight doubletrack sections on the sides.
Brief portions of the trail parallel alongside the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway for some nice water views. If you're walking or running this trail, you want to look out for bikers, even if you're on the trail marked "run." Sometimes bikers end up on those trails as well.
This trail is considered moderately challenging and takes an average of an hour and 46 minutes to complete, with various elevation changes at different points in the trail. Check the elevation information underneath the AllTrails map for The Hulk to see where to expect the drops and inclines.
The trail is well-marked, but some have reported confusion over which trail is the run/walk trail when it crosses with the bike trail. Always keep an eye out for bikes heading towards you so that you can stay out of the way!
The Hulk trail in Myrtle Beach is great for exercise. In fact, one local biker who started mountain biking at age 45 rides the trail at least three times a week and considers it one of the top trails in South Carolina.
Another local biker lost 28 pounds in two months after he started riding this Horry County Bike and Run Park trail. He even credits the Hulk trail with getting him into mountain biking!
The love for this trail has reached out beyond locals. One fan of The Hulk trail from a neighboring state loves it so much he tries to make it here once a year to ride the trail!

It's also a pretty trail, though not kid or dog-friendly. You could see some wildlife along the trail.
The trail does close after it's been raining to allow it to dry out. Some say there's less bike traffic on colder days, so if you're walking or running it those may be better days for you!
