The cold season is coming upon us and with it so comes a lot of contagious viruses such as the dreaded flu, the terrifying pneumonia, and the awful cold. Even if it is just a cold, sometimes the experience can be miserable! Even without the common winter diseases everyone needs to see a doctor sooner or later. Well, I went and examined the sources to find the “Best of the Best” hospitals here in South Carolina. During that search I found that U.S News & World Report have ranked the top hospitals. So, if you get sick or are in need of the best medical attention, these are the hospitals you should visit.
1. Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston
Although it nearly made it into the national category, it did make it to the top #3 of regionally/state ranked hospitals. This is a 179 bed hospital and trauma center that ranks highly in the Adult Speciality and Adult Procedure categories.
Roper Hospital has been ranked #4 regional/state for Adult Specialities and Conditions. This is a 328 bed hospital and trauma center that saw almost 70K people last year alone.
AnMed Health was placed in the #5 position for it's performance in Adult Specialities and Conditions. This is a 373 bed hospital and trauma center that is strongly recommended in the Upstate.
This hospital was actually tied for the #5 spot with AnMed. McLeod has a very strong standing in the Pee Dee Region. It's a decidedly large hospital with a bed count of 538.
Bon Secours in Greenville is ranked #7 regionally/state for Adult Procedures and Conditions.
