Remember all those years ago when a quarter meant game time at the helm of your favorite arcade video machines like Donkey Kong, Pacman, Galaga, Frogger, and more? Well… fast forward to adulthood, where, at an arcade bar in downtown Rock Hill, you can pay a $5 cover and play all of those games as many times as you want and for as long as you want – FOR FREE.
Player 1 Up is among the newest spots to open in downtown Rock Hill and also among the most popular for those seeking a nostalgic experience playing vintage video games and pinball machines.
And at this arcade (which is also a bar and pub), you won't have to share game time with the kiddos in the crowd, because this spot is for ages 21 and up.
Even though Player 1 Up is adults over 21 only most of the time, there are special occasions — like select Saturday afternoons — when all ages are welcome. Check recent posts on the Facebook page to follow updates on when the next Family Saturday Afternoon will be scheduled, and note: all kids must be accompanied by an adult over 21.
Player 1 Up is accessible through the patio door down the ramp seen here. Have you discovered this fun, arcade bar yet? One cover gets you all-access to play free arcade games!
Nostalgia is running high at this South Carolina over-21 arcade bar. Do you remember your favorite arcade game from your childhood? Player 1 Up is open seven days a week. The hours are Sunday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. You can follow the Facebook page here.
