If you love the History Channels’ “American Pickers” because you love seeing all of the incredible things they find when visiting various collectors, then you will be thrilled with a visit to Mac’s Pride Antique Museum. Take a stroll down memory lane when you visit this antiques museum at McLeod Farms’ Roadside Market in McBee.
The entire building (and much of the exterior) is brimming with blast after blast from the American past.
But don't be mistaken in thinking this collection is for sale (it is not). It is indeed Mac's Pride and that's why this massive collection is on display — every day — right next door to the McLeod Farms market on SC 151 between McBee and Hartsville.
Most folks, when they just can't stand the anticipation of the enormous number of items and collections here, glide right through the many displays... and then, head right back to the beginning to take a closer look at individual items.
Love music? There's a whole collection (much larger than seen in this image) to admire and study. It takes decades to amass this much stuff representing farm life and life in general.
If you haven't brushed up on your South Carolina geography since middle school, the tiny town of McBee is found in Chesterfield County, which borders North Carolina. The roadside market and museum are five miles southeast of the crossroads in the middle of town.
Enjoy a collection of historic Americana essentials for daily life and farming in bygone eras when you visit this wonderful (and free) museum in South Carolina. Have you visited Mac’s Pride Museum at McLeod Farms’ Roadside Market? We’d love to know!
Learn more about the museum from this link on the official website for McLeod Farms/Mac’s Pride. It’s open every day (except holidays) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
