Roger Williams Park Zoo Has A One-Of-A-Kind Zipline In Rhode Island

Whether you’ve lived in Rhode Island your entire life or just a few short years, you certainly know that Roger Williams Park Zoo is one of the most captivating attractions in the state. Admire the giraffes, mingle with goats, or do yoga with elephants — the 40-acre zoo is endlessly entertaining. However, many visitors don’t realize that the zoo is also home to a thrilling zipline ride.
If you haven't been to the Roger Williams Park Zoo lately, it's time to plan your visit. More than 160 species of animals from all over the globe are located in the 40-acre woodland setting.
Hang out with elephants, zebras, flamingoes, sloths, and many others. You can even feed giraffes as well as a friendly array of farm animals.
But for something a little more adventurous... visit the Explore and Soar area of the zoo. It features an exhilarating zipline ride and a woodland train excursion.
Explore by taking a trip on the Woodlands Express. The family-friendly train is a fun excursion for the young and young at heart.
Soar by jumping on the Soaring Eagle Zip Ride Comfortable side by side seats give you the chance to enjoy the fantastic views of Providence and into the Narragansett Bay.
The zipline will take you 115 feet up into the air as you glide through the air and over the park!
The aerial adventure ride is also open during the zoo's ever-so-popular Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular where you can get a bird's eye view of the 5,000 glowing pumpkins in the display.
