There’s A Playground And Splash Pad At World War II Memorial Park In Rhode Island
We’ve been enjoying a pretty pleasant summer here in Rhode Island. But as much as we love our beach days, sometimes the little ones in our lives might prefer something a bit more mellow. Spend the next hot summer day at World War II Memorial Park in Woonsocket, where you’ll find a playground with a great splash pad.

The park occupies land known as the Social Flatlands, where textile mills once operated along the banks of the Mill River.

There's a 4-mile loop trail and plenty of shorter nature hikes to enjoy. And of course, the veterans' monument is a big attraction.

... but in the summertime, nothing tops the splash pad.

On any given summer day, you'll hear dozens of kids here laughing and shrieking in delight.

When it's open, its hours are usually 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

But really, can you blame them?

But until fall's arrival, nothing is more popular than this splash park.
